Lena Eson Roe is excited to be the Director of Community Engagement for JCC Brooklyn, a project of the Kings Bay Y. Lena is a graduate of Wesleyan University with an M.S. in Special and General Childhood Education from Bank Street. You’ll meet Lena as part of the Parent Committee, on a tour of our play-based daycare and preschool, and at pop-up JCC-style community events throughout the year. Lena has over a dozen years of experience teaching, coaching teachers, developing curriculum, and running community programming in schools, synagogues and camps. Originally from Albany, NY, Lena lives in Windsor Terrace with her husband and two children: Gabriel began kindergarten at PS130 this year, and Sophie is two years old.
